Simon Perathoner

The work of Simon Perathoner involves the installation of an information panel with the panoramic photo of the Sas de Pütia. However, we are not in front of the common landscape photography: the artist chose to exhibit the hexadecimal codes used by the camera to memorise the shot he took of Sas de Pütia, underlining the critical view of the relation between representation and reality. By exposing the digital image code he seeks the limit of language as a medium of communication. In fact, the code is incomprehensible unless you know the reading key.

Exhibit place Pra de Pütia

The "Prà de Pütia", which sit to the north of Sas de Pütia, offer magnificent views of gorgeous natural landscapes. These meadows are used for both grazing and haymaking and also make an ideal place for a short walk or full-day hike. These areas are wonderful to visit the whole year through. “Roa dl Maier” is called the place between Börz and Sespütia, from where you can admire some of the most beautiful and important geological formations of the Dolomites.
