A blue-and-white striped beach hut resting on spoked-wheels rests next to a lake. A companion of artist Giacomo Savio’s imaginary trip below the “blue Dolomites” while he looks for his father – is that him, among the trees? A foreign object. And estrangement is exactly what hits us first. The illusion that a “beach hut” can exist among the mountains, something reminiscent of the sea, the beach, the water. The common theme which, however, at a second glance looks like a regular wooden shack or a refuge for swans, not uncommon in this area. A playful memory, the hut houses the knowledge that life is fleeting, the artist’s idea of life’s silence, and the fragile nature.

Exhibit place Tru di Lêc

This circuit connects Badia and Lech Dlá Lunch (1,537 m), on a short and easy stroll. The circuit mostly consists of forest paths with stunning scenic views over the village of San Leonardo and the Sas dla Crusc mountain. The path coasts typical “viles”, Ladin hamlets, such Runch and a “cialciara”, a typical lime kiln used in the past.
