Patricija Gilyte

The artist grew up in the plains and for many years she has only seen the mountains in photographs. After visiting the Dolomites she realized that the photos only show a fragment of the landscape. Her idea that the scenery has to be lived at 360° to be able to reproduce the landscape has led her to create this relief of Pütia, coded in Braille.

Exhibit place Pra de Pütia

Thanks to magnificent views of gorgeous natural landscapes, this circular route around Sas de Pütia Mountain is one of South Tyrol’s highlights. Begin at the parking area at Ju de Börz/Passo delle Erbe Pass (2,006 m) and hike to the west side of Sas de Pütia Mountain via the Prà de Pütia meadows.  Then ascend to the Pütia Pass (2,357 m). After a short, steep descent, the trail continues with moderate uphill and downhill grades to the Pütia meadows and then on to Göma Pass (2,111 m). Continue through the forest, pines and pastures as far as the meadows on the northern side of Sas de Pütia, and then head back to the parking lot. The "Prà de Pütia", which sit to the north of Sas de Pütia, are used for both grazing and haymaking and also make an ideal place for a short walk or full-day hike. These areas are also wonderful in winter and on a summer evening.
