Open Land - Inforestàrsi
Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch
The HAYDN OPEN LAND art project offers a unique sensory experience in the alpine landscape, combining nature sounds, classical music and local voices through bone conduction headphones. This technology transmits sounds via vibrations to the jaw bones, allowing people to perceive both the music and their surroundings. Designed by Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch in collaboration with the Haydn Foundation for Art Biennale SMACH 2023, the project offers a "soundwalk" that overlays live natural sounds with recordings of guiding voices and musical performances by the Haydn Orchestra. Using a geolocation app, each station on the walk offers a different audio experience, inviting the listener to explore the physical territory and its memories. The goal is to create an augmented sound reality that challenges an anthropocentric view of nature, promoting a deeper harmony with the environment.
The project offers a distinctive sensory journey in collaboration with SMACH and the Museum Ladin. Starting at the Museum Ladin Ćiastel de Tor, we walk through the Val dl'Ert to a hidden and idyllic place, the heart of the public art park, accompanied by sounds and words by Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch. Headphones are picked up at the Museum Ladin.
It is recommended to bring a water bottle to hydrate during the walk.
