SMACH launches a double collaboration: the first with Bolzano Danza, and the second with Zelig - School for Documentary, Television and New Media.
Performance
The villages of Piccolino and San Martino will serve as the backdrop for “Veduta_Atlante Mediterraneo”. The piece by Michele Di Stefano and Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch stems from the authors' interest in researching the body within the landscape. The show is specially adapted for the location which - thanks to sound and musical inputs - becomes a dynamic space where different ideas and influences meet, alongside cultural stratifications and anthropological and geographical misunderstandings ranging from the Dolomites to the sea. The audience experiences the performance through headphones while overlooking the landscape from a panoramic viewpoint in Piccolino. From here, the view spans between the very near and the very far, connected to each other by the sound track (recorded in holophony with a strong cinematic feel) and the positioning of the performers, who are part of the dance troupe from Rome's Orbita-Spellbound, National Center for Dance Production.

Dinner
At 7:00 PM, there will be a social gathering with dinner - based on voluntary donations - in the inner garden of Hotel Ostaria Posta.
Documentary screenings, in collaboration with Zelig
Afterwards there will be screenings of two documentary films presented in collaboration with Zelig - School for Documentary, Television and New Media in Bolzano. The directors, former students of the school, Giovanni Bez and Giuseppe Crudele, will present the short film “Bostrico” and the mid-length film “Mors Tua”, respectively.

“Bostrico” by Giovanni Bez tells the story of the emergency affecting many Alpine forests, including those in Val Badia. Among the ruins of forests destroyed by the proliferation of this bark beetle, and amid people who - in various ways - utilize its wood, a mysterious figure wanders. Their actions and voiceover invite us to listen to the voice of nature and to a forest being reborn.
Giuseppe Crudele's “Mors Tua” connects conceptually to SMACH's final screening of the 2025 season, when “Nauz” was shown - a film based on Roberta Dapunt's poems about rural life and our relationship with the animals we eat. As the title suggests, this documentary also addresses the theme of animals killed by human hands. It follows calves and farmers from the livestock auction to the slaughterhouse, a group of Val Gardena hunters and their prey, and a taxidermist preparing some of these animals.
The screenings will be introduced by the directors, who will also be available for a final Q&A.
