Val dl’Ert, from the ladin Art Valley, is an art park located in the town of San Martino in Badia, Val Badia, in the province of Bolzano. This is a permanent exhibition of the sculptures acquired during the last editions of the SMACH art competition.
Situated in an alpine forest, intact and far away from civilization, you can see works by artists from all over the world. Art in a natural context establishes a complementary relationship between them, enriching each other through a continuous dialogue.
The art park Val dl’Ert is freely accessible and free of charge, visitors can spend a few hours in total tranquillity in the middle of nature that aims preserve an authentic alpine dimension. For those who wish to explore more in-depth the artworks and the context in which they are immersed, there is the possibility of participating in guided tours.

Val dl’Ert, dal ladino Valle dell’Arte, è un parco di sculture situato nella località di San Martino in Badia, Val Badia, provincia di Bolzano. Si tratta della mostra permanente delle sculture acquisite durante le ultime edizioni del concorso d’arte SMACH.
Adagiate in un bosco alpino, in un tratto intatto e appartato, si possono scorgere opere realizzate da artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Arte e contesto naturale instaurano tra loro un rapporto complementare arricchendosi vicendevolmente attraverso un dialogo continuo. I visitatori possono trascorrere alcune ore in serena tranquillità nel mezzo di una natura incontaminata. Le opere esposte sono state selezionate fra quelle delle edizioni passate del concorso biennale SMACH - festival d’arte a cielo aperto, che si svolge in diverse località d’interesse storico-culturale nei comuni di San Martino in Badia e Marebbe.

Val dl'Ert, aus dem Ladinischen Künstlertal, ist ein Skulpturenpark in St. Martin in Thurn, Gadertal, in der Provinz Bozen. Dies ist die Dauerausstellung der erworbenen Skulpturen aus denr letzten Ausgaben des SMACH-Kunstwettbewerbs.
Mitten in einem alpinen Wald, an einer abgelegenen und unberührten Stelle, kann man Werke von Künstlern aus aller Welt erblicken. Kunst und Natur als Kontext bereichern ihre Komplementarität durch einen fruchtbaren Dialog.
Die Besucher können sich durch das Bummeln in einer unbefleckten Natur einige Stunden entspannen. Die Werke sind eine Auswahl an Stücken, welche bereits bei vergangenen Ausgaben des Wettbewerbs SMACH ausgestellt wurden: dies ist ein Open-Air- Kunstfestival, das durch das Ausstellen von Objekten etliche historisch-kulturelle Standorte in den Gemeinden Sankt Martin in Thurn und Enneberg wertschätzen will.
The concept of Val dl'Ert is based on three columns: exhibition area, educational center and cultural space.
The exhibited works have been selected from those of the past editions of the SMACH art competition, which takes place in various locations of historical and cultural interest in the towns of San Martino in Badia and Marebbe.
The Val dl'Ert is conceived as a work in progress: the collection is enriched after each edition of the SMACH competition and the place wants to be like a concept-space open to different cultural realities. Therefore, the main elements of the park can be identified: the interaction of works of art with nature and the environment where they are inserted and the representation of international artists.
